Sonship Is A Mindset Not A Gender

"Becoming" a son of God is a mindset and a maturity level.

As women—we're daughters. Being male doesn't make for automatic sonship in the biblical meaning.

God is no respecter of persons. Look at the verse in the graphic.

"... as many as received him..." Have you received Him?

Having received Jesus is the first step in the growth process of becoming a son.

Don't stop there.

Look at the verse again. To them, both male and female, God gave them "power to become the sons of God ..." to all who would believe on His Name.

You have the "power" within you to believe.

Being a son means you no longer operate as a baby. You've begun changing your thinking to align with God's thoughts and His will and His purpose. You are taking action steps to mature in your understanding of who you are in Christ.

When we receive Jesus as our Savior the sonship Seed is sown. The power of God now resides within you through the Holy Spirit.

As you renew your mind to what God says about you and release that power and authority from the inside by believing what He says, you exhibit the characteristics that accompany maturity and sonship. You exhibit having the mind of Christ. You'll walk in the results God promises.

How long does that take? That's totally up to you. Some begin immediately upon receiving Jesus as Savior because they were given the knowledge that He's also their Healer.

Being born again means you switched kingdoms. Son's of God learn how to operate from the inside out. From the power that resides within, we release it to change the world. We begin by changing our own world first. It's the supernatural power of God at work.

We refuse to allow the curse to operate in our lives. Instead we "believe" God that we've been redeemed from the curse because of what Jesus did for us. We take the authority He gave us and put a stop to any part of the curse attempting to operate in our lives.

Growth requires knowledge. This sonship Seed begins immediately and never stops growing. But it requires knowing some things about Kingdom of God living. Like who you are now and how to live by faith instead of sight.
